The mission of the childcare ministry of Eastside Baptist Daycare is to provide a Christ-based foundation for children and families where children can grow in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man.
The building blocks of this foundation are developmentally appropriate classes and activities through quality daycare. The purpose of all the activities of the childcare program is to provide guidance and nurturance to children and families so that they may develop a personal relationship with God.
Our Programs

Full-Time Program
We offer full-time daycare for your child. We are open Monday through Friday, 6:30am-6:00pm. We observe most major holidays, following closely with most public school holiday schedules.

Free play versus Guided play
We believe it is important for children to have adequate time to play. Here at Eastside Baptist Daycare your children are provided with a structured daily schedule which includes playtime. We are very intentional in that the children have a time for free play and a time for guided play. Free play is a time for the children to grow developmentally as they exercise their creativity in numerous ways. Guided play is a time for the children to learn specific tasks or lessons designed by the teacher through a fun and creative manner.
Nutrition
Nutrition is very important in the care of your child in order to promote healthy learning, growth and development. We seek to provide proper nutrition throughout the day through the implementation of two snacks and one meal per child that is included within the child's tuition. Summer Program
Our Summer Program has been perfect for many families. We offer summer care for children six-weeks to five years old. If you have specific questions about day-to-day activities or the program timeline, simply get in touch - we would be happy to help. To reserve your child's spot, contact us below!
Education
Here are Eastside Baptist Daycare your child is introduced to learning through a Christian-based education curriculum called Abeka. The teachers are provided with ready-made lesson plans, crafts and teaching aids. We have experienced great success in the educational development of the children once completing the Abeka program.
Our History
A staple in the community
Eastside Baptist Daycare has been a ministry of Eastside Baptist Church for over thirty-five years. The daycare has been a staple for the community here in the Birmingham-metro area. Parent's recommendation has been the greatest source of advertisement for the daycare. Many generations of children have been within our care over the years.
Our teachers are well-equipped with many years of experience in childcare and education. Each teacher is certified in Health and Safety courses, First-Aid and CPR. The educational experience of our teachers ranges from Early-Childhood Development, Childhood Education and numerous years of experience in childcare.
